Finding Master Right - L.A. Witt

Chase is a Dom who just got out of a two year relationship. Derek is a sub and a close friend of Chase who's helping Chase with his breakup. Chase and Derek have a "one night stand" right before they leave for the leather convention and both have feelings for each other but neither will admit it. Chase and Derek skirt around their feelings and mean mug each other almost the entire time.

The beginning of the book is excruciating boring! It's pretty much a play by play of what it's like at the convention from registration to workshops. Although I've never been to this kind of a convention... I have been to conventions before (work and for fun). They all have the same kind of feel just different content. So, as I do appreciate a description of the atmosphere of the leather convention (because I've never been to one), I don't need a play by play of every step. I want to hear about the play time and the kinky fuckery that may be going on.

We even get a description of the schedule, booths, merchandise displays: "Books. Porn of every variety imaginable. More leather. Cock rings and cock cages. Whips and chains. One guy specialized in handmade glass dildos and butt plugs that were a decorative as they were useful."

At about 45% is the first time we actually get any sort of action. FINALLY! It's some pretty good action and totally makes up for the fist have of the book killing me. The sex that is in the book is really good. I only wish there was more of it. I also had to Google some things because I didn't know what they were. For example blood cupping (there is none in this book but it is mentioned). I had no idea what that was and now that I know... I don't want anything to do with it.

Overall, it was ok. I did enjoy it and I will definitely read more from this author. This ebook is currently listed on Amazon and B&N right now for $5.99. Even though I enjoyed the book, I would not pay that much for a 170 page novella. I would pay between FREE and $1.99.

Dark Interlude - Jeffe Kennedy

Publication Date: February 20, 2014

Umm... I'm... well... I need Act 5 as much as I need to breath right now! I LOVE THIS!

Christy, Christine, Christy! What in the world is wrong with you girl! Hally needs to bitch slap you and knock some sense into that dense skull of yours.

Also, when you have a weird and creepy feeling from a guy and his entire family you need to trust your gut on that. I mean, I was picking up on American Psycho or Silence of the Lambs type stuff.

OH.. EM.. GEE! Roman! I just cant say anything except... he takes his douchebaggery to new levels. I will punch you in the throat if you speak for me and make decisions on my behalf. I am an adult capable of making complicated decisions and thinking for myself.

Roman tries to guilt trip Christy and tries to make her believe that the cops are looking at her as a the prime suspect in Tara's death and Carla's beating at the Opera House. Butt Pulg!

We didn't really get to see a lot of Master in this one. I'm just dying over here! I need something.... I want more Master!

To quote one of my all time favorite bands Metallica:

Come crawling faster
Obey your Master
Your life burns faster
Obey your Master
Master

Master of Puppets I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master

Overall, this book is fantastic and the series is seriously rocking my face off right now. Even though there is no sex, I'm totally fine with that... for now. So far Master of the Opera, ACT 3: Phantom Serenade is the only one that has any sort of kinky fuckery.

Master of the Opera, ACT 3: Phantom Serenade - Jeffe Kennedy

Alrighty then! So, I finished this story at 3AM and had to force myself to sleep instead of jumping into the next one. I can't believe it ended like that. **CLIFFHANGER** And that usually makes me madder than a skunk dipped in perfume! The only reason why I'm slightly ok with it is because I do have the next one ready to go. Otherwise, I would recommend to all readers to buy all books before getting emotionally attached to the story and characters.

Roman, Roman, ROMAN! I've not really trusted Roman's character so far and now I just don't like him. He is an arrogant, pompous jerk, control freak who probably tans too much, wears pink shirts one size too small with a popped collar and fists pumps to his techno music. There is something up with him and I can't wait to find out what!

Christy still does some TSTL things but at least she's calling herself out on it. Honestly... I don't know that I would go into a creepy basement of a "haunted" opera house in the middle of the night for anything or anyone. Nope, not gonna happen. My parents taught me to use the buddy system.

"Alice falling down the rabbit hole. But of her own free will"

Master! Finally we're getting somewhere! In Act 1 and Act 2 there was not any kinky fuckery. All 1 and 2 did was allude that there was going to be. Well, Act 3 has given me a taste of all the well controlled passion Master has and I cannot wait until we get to see him unleashed.

"Like Persephone, you'll be trapped with the lord of the underworld"

Oh Carla. Well isn't she just the snap at your throat bitch! She's been skirting around bitchiness and now she's let the bitch out.

Overall, I loved this! Fantastic storyline, well developed characters hot sexy kink.. all of this together has me HOOKED! I can't wait to read the next one and now I want to read everything Jeffe Kennedy has ever written. She's got a new fan here!

P.S. The ending will make you do this...

The Raider - Monica McCarty

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I just LOVE Monica McCarty and I couldn't be happier with The Raider! I started this book today and never once put it down. I love it when a book can consume me and make me forget to eat or feed my family. Don't worry, they're grown

"If the knights were figures of faerie tales, the Scots were creatures of nightmares"

Robbie Boyd "The Raider" and Rosalin the English Princess are complete opposites. Robbie and some of his friends were captured by Clifford, Rosalin's brother. They were tricked by Clifford under false security of a truce. Rosalin, whose sixteen at the time, has a major crush on Robbie. She sees him for what he really is, noble and kind hearted. She inadvertently gets him and his friends in trouble and now she must free him before hes executed for a crime he didn't commit.

Six years later Robbie and Rosalin's paths cross again and she has never forgotten about him. Robbie is hell bent on revenge and has lost sight of why he's fighting this war. Rosalin is trying to find peace between the two sides and get Robbie and Clifford to put their differences aside for her happiness.

This book has kidnapping, Rosalin's womanly charms and eye batting and an incredible fight scene that will leave your mouth dropping to the floor! I'm still in shock after that one.

My reaction after the fight scene

And lets not forget about the sex! Oh, it took a while to get there but it was worth the wait. I especially love the hike. *waggles eyebrows*

I highly recommend this entire series to anyone with eyes

"The war was black and white for him. The English were the enemy, and they deserved his hatred. But she... she made him see gray"
Carmen's New York Climax - Nikki Sex

I really like this short story... ahem... 100 page sex scene and it was AWESOME! There is a story and you get bits and pieces of it throughout and I REALLY want to know Carmen's back story! I know I'll get it later, but dang it, I want it now! This girl has a shady past and I cant wait to learn all her dirty little secrets.

This story has a little humor in it and I caught myself giggling out loud. Such as Carmen referring to Kurt as "Thor the God of Thunderous Orgasms"

Nikki Sex keeps dangling the carrot in front of me and I'm eagerly following. Something that I think is really interesting is that the common factor in all of these books is André Chevalier aka Sir aka Woman Whisperer.

Bound - Nikki Sex

Oh.. my... GAWD! I... I just... Im HOOKED! I need more John Taylor! I cant believe it ended like that! Now that my appetite has been ignited, I want more!

Even though this is a short story all the characters are well developed and likable lovable. I first met Andre Chevalier in Amy's Forbidden Fantasy as Sir and I was intrigued by him then. Even though John Taylor stole the show for me in this story, Andre Chevalier is still in the back of my mind.

Well done Nikki Sex

Master of the Opera, ACT 1: Passionate Overture - Jeffe Kennedy

I read Master of the Opera, Act 2: Ghost Aria first so I already knew what was going to happen. However there is so much other stuff that will eventually be relevant in the later Acts so it really is important to read them in order. Shame on me

Christy, I like her. I think its funny and completely believable that she chastising herself about being a "dumb chick in the slasher movies" when she went into creepy dark spots. We've all had those thoughts when we're taking out the trash late at night or we're walking home in the dark. So I thought it was refreshing to hear her be a normal human being. I'm also intrigued by something Christy said to herself about her counselors and her mind. Hmm... whats up there.

Roman, I've got mixed feelings about him and I don't completely trust him. Maybe its because I read the 2nd Act first, but even in the 2nd Act he did nothing that would make me suspect him. Or maybe because Charlie gave Christy a warning about Roman's man-whoring. I just don't know. I think everyone is a suspect at this point.

Whats got me jumping up and down in my chair and trying to read as fast as I can is the emblem with a set of links dangling from it, like a collar and chain, crossed by a whip that Christy found in the bowels of the opera house.

Great character development and I suspect everyone! I'm hooked to this fascinating retelling of Phantom of the Opera.

"One very creeptastic and scary meeting doesn't change anything. I amend that. This makes two creeptastic and scary meetings."
Master of the Opera, Act 2: Ghost Aria - Jeffe Kennedy

Ok, ok, I HATE reading out of order but I also don't like to spend money on books I end up not liking. So, I read the 2nd Act before I read the first one, Master of the Opera, Act 1: Passionate Overture. But now I'm super intrigued so I bought the first one and I'm going to read it next.

I'm totally into this right now. Since I haven't read the first one yet, I'm pretty sure this is a retelling of Phantom of the Opera(I'm a fan). Its a little dark and has a hint that there may be some sexy kink later. I'm not really sure yet and cant wait to find out.

There is a scene between Christine and the Master that I loved and I wanted to scream to Christine to let go and "trust your gut". I wanted a kiss soooo bad.

We have a mysterious murder (from the first book), a ghost, a boyfriend whom everyone seems to not like and someone whose lurking in the shadows...

Twisted Cherry - Piper Kay

Evan and Gabe

Oh I wish Evan and Gabes story went on! I don't think I got enough of these two tattooed hotties.

Evan has been in the closet and trying to keep up the straight image by bar hopping with friends and bedding girls left and right. He deals with this through self inflected pain by getting tattoos. Gabe is the confident out of the closet guy who is comfortable with himself and his sexuality. Evan and Gabe are immediately attracted to each other when they meet for the first time in Gabes tattoo shop called Twisted Cherry.

This is a 33 page story about Evan's self discovery and acceptance and Gabe showing Evan how good it can feel to be true to your feelings.

This is the second book I've read from Piper Kay and Im LOVING her!

Unattainable (Undeniable) (Volume 3) - Madeline Sheehan
"Gone was the sweet, caring boy he'd been, and his place... He became the cockiest, most self-centered, self-serving, egotistical, narcissistic, and depraved motherfucker I'd ever med in my entire life. Which, when I look back on it, is probably why I feel even more in love with him."

Cage and Tegen "Teacup" are childhood friends. Tegan has had a crush on Cage the entire time. After one drunken night, Tegan 16, finally has looses her virginity to Cage 19, the guy of her dreams and confesses her love. Cage basically kicks her to the side and from then on everything changes.

Cage... Well the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree sometimes. He's a man whore, like his father, Deuce. However, Cage does have almost all of Deuce's good qualities and just some of the bad ones. Cage just needs to figure out which traits he wants to keep.

Cage

"If there was anything Cage excelled at, it was women. Or rather, sex with women."

Tegen is the awkward redheaded teenager who is head over heels in love with the sweet bad boy MC prince, Cage. She was raised in the club and is the daughter of Dorothy who is a club whore well, I'll let you read and find out for yourself. Tegan is doing everything she can to not be like her mom. So she leaves the club behind and moves to San Francisco for a new life. Tegen has a chip on her shoulder the size of California and she's not afraid to speak her mind. She comes barreling back into the club acting like a spitfire bitch and hatin' on everyone. I can't blame her though... I would act the same way.

Tegen

"Agtgressive Sexual Tegen Frustration> Yep, he had a bad case of ASTF."

Cage and Tegan together is very intense....

There was a lot of back and forth with Tegen and Cage and it drove me nuts! I was tired of it and started to get bored with them. However, I understood where Tegen was coming from and Im very happy it worked out... finally!

Dirty! Probably my favorite so far and I really wanted MORE of Dirty and Ellie!

"Michael, a great prince of Heaven and the protector against the forces of evil."

Dirty

"He was nothing. He was shit. He was a damaged, deranged, sick motherfucker who deserved to be put the fuck down.

Dirty is one of the Hell's Horsmen MC members and Ellie is one of Dannys high school friends that we briefly met in UnBeautifully. Dirty and Ellies story was a very nice surprise for me. It was unexpected and beautiful. Dirty is fiercely protective of Ellie and their story begins when he saves Ellie from a situation that is all too familiar to him.

Ellie

Dirty has some deep seeded secrets and a horrific and tragic past. Ellie has always put her education and career first. Now she finds herself lonely while life is passing by her at light speed. Dirty and Ellie are complete opposites and I love them!

Kami and Cox! Oh... my... goodness... These two crake me the fuck up constantly!

Blue... You're my boy Blue!!

ZZ!! Oh my beautiful ZZ. You have such a wonderful heart and I cant wait to read your story. You deserve the best story <3

For me Dirty and Ellie stole the show and that is one of the reasons why I can only give this book 4 stars. I did enjoy Cage and Tegen but the back and forth really grated on me and I felt bored with them. This book was not as intense as the first two books but it was still really, REALLY good and definitely has its moments. I think the first half of the book was the best and then it trickled a little for me.

"From chaos, the strongest sort of love is usually born."

No words can describe how much I love this series!

Unbeautifully - Madeline Sheehan

"Note to readers - UnBeautifully begins where Undeniable's epilogue ended. The story then backtracks to the years that passed between the last chapter and the epilogue in Undeniable, and then continues until present. Enjoy!"

And Enjoyed I did! Another fantastic book in the Undeniable series. I LOVE IT!

"Ours was the furthest thing from a picture-perfect romance; it was more of a car crash, a metal-bending, blood-spattered disaster that left no survivors, only bad memories and heartache. But it was ours. And because it was ours... I wouldn't change a thing."

"Ripper was my rainstorm, my skin-drenching frenzy, where you couldn't tell right from left, where all you could feel was the phenomenon exploding throughout your body, feverishly burning through you even as it pleasurably cooled."

Where to begin with this beautifully tragic and gut wrenching amazing love story!

Danny is the daughter of Deuce, the President of Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. She may seem all unicorns and rainbows Hello Kitty on the outside but this girl is hurting on the inside. Her home life is stressful, she feels lost and lonely, her mother left at an early age and her dad (Deuce) is never around and not exactly the best role model. Danny's life is about to change and how cliché is it that it changes on prom night?

Ripper is a member of the Hell's Horseman Motorcycle Club and one of Deuces main guys. Ripper has never had a shortage of women and they seem to throw themselves at him, but he's never truly cared about any of them before. Not until Danny. Ripper has scars on the inside and outside. He was brutally attached by Eva's psychotic ex-husband Frankie which left him disfigured and emotionally fucked up. He's hatin' on the world right now and Danny seems to be the only light in his path and Deuce is the bolder he has to climb to get to her.

Ripper and Danny together are flaming hot and you can actually feel the love they have for each other coming out of the pages.

They have to keep their romance a secret because big daddy Deuce will not approve and will probably kill Ripper. So Ripper and Danny find places to "be together" right under his nose.

Although this is Danny and Ripper's story, Deuce and Eva also have a lot of unfinished business and let me just say... it will piss you off and make you want to have makeup sex. Its fantastic and really wraps up a lot of unanswered questions you didn't know you had.

Blue... I just LOVE this guy! How handy is he? Just popping up every now and then to give some crucial and life changing advice.

ZZ! Oh my GAWD ZZ!! I love him soooo much and he deserves so much better. He also deserves to beat the shit out of Ripper and Danny! I really hope Sheehan makes this right with them. I just love ZZ so much!

One of my favorite parts... when you get to it you'll know what Im talking about!

I can't really say anything else without giving everything away. You just have to trust me and read the series! Its worth every cent!

FANFUCKINGTABULOUS!!!

Undeniable - Madeline Sheehan

Wow! I could not put this one down. FANFUCKINGTABULOUS!!!

WARNING: This book has cheating and rape. If those are hard limits for you then I wouldn't suggest reading this. However, if you can keep an open mind and just read this wonderful and twisted love story you will not be sorry.

I was five years old when I met Deuce. He was twenty-three, and it was visiting day at Rikers Island.

I'm so torn up inside right now and not really sure where to even begin with this one. I'm borderline speechless. Some words to describe what I just read... captivating, emotional roller coaster, twisted, jaw dropping tear jerker and I could not put this book down! This story makes me want to take the book and smack the characters upside their heads and then hug it out and tell them I love them. It made me angry, happy, sad, excited, scared, angry and happy all over again. I loved every word in this book!

Eva, 5 yrs: "I'm gonna be the club queen 'cause I'm gonna marry the biggest, scariest biker in the whole world, and he's gonna let me do whatever I want because he's gonna love me like crazy."

Well, we start off with a 5 year old Eva and a 23 year old Deuce meeting for the first time. It was really cute, sweet and innocent. I did have an eye-rolling moment the way 5 year old Eva described Deuce who is a stranger she just met. But then again... Eva is not your average little girl. She is unique and raised differently than most children. She's a motorcycle club brat and therefore has been exposed to very adult situations at a very young age and this makes her strong, more mature and jaded to the lifestyle.

Eva Fox was the princess of the Silver Demons MC.

Deuce... what can I say about Deuce.

Thank you funny ecard for summing that up for me.

Well, I have some issues with Deuce and Eva's "friendship" throughout the years.

But nothing I couldn't get over and each of their interactions are important to their story. Deuce really pissed me off A LOT! Eva is like a wild animal... you can't capture her and keep her in a cage and have sex with other women right under her nose or in front of her. I mean.. wake up!

I just LOVE Deuce and Eva together. They just steam up the pages!

Frankie... Oh... My... holy psychopath! Let me just say that you will HATE Frankie but will also love him just a tiny bit. The author has a way of making you understand how Eva can love him even though I think it may be a form of Stockholm Syndrome. However, none of Frankie's actions are excusable or redeemable but my heart does ache for that crazy boy.

Frankie

Kami is Evas BFF and she is funny, smart, hot and definitely not shy. She really is the bestest friend any girl can have.

Chase... umm... Fuck you!

Quotes:
Deuce: "You want me to own you, don't you, baby? You been waitin' for me to own you for a long time now, haven't you?"

Eva: "He wasn't Deuce, badass biker, and I wasn't Eva, his rival badass biker's daughter. He was a dangerously beautiful man, I was a woman he wanted, and it was so fucking beautiful. I wanted to freeze time and say in this moment with him forever-touching, fucking, and loving."

Loving an Ugly Beast - Danielle Monsch

Nissa and Benton have been in love with each other for a few years and are best friends, but neither one has the courage to act on their feelings until the Fairy Godmother comes to intervene.

This was like a reverse Beauty and the Beast and then reversed again. This story is all about inner beauty and how it can overcome our own perceptions of ourselves and others. There are times when I thought the story was a little shallow but it quickly redeemed itself.

SEX: I really wanted a little more dirty language in it with some descriptions of what was going on. If my characters are going to have sex I want them to tell me what they are doing. Please don't dance around it and make me guess how you got to the body part that you're currently working on. For example, I'm reading and all of the sudden her tongue is on his cock but I don't remember reading anything about how she ended up there or her working her way down to get him hard or her taking off his pants. Maybe what I'm asking for is a little more build up and tease to get me excited. With that being said... it was still hot and I really enjoyed it!

This is supposed to be an historical and the cover gives the impression that this should be a historical romance. However, some of the language and terminology used seemed more modern to me and it may distract some readers. It bothered me at first, but I got over it because I was just enjoying the fantasy of the story.

I really liked Nissa and Benton both. I would have liked to get a little bit of a back story on Benton and maybe a little bit more on Nissa. I thought Nissa's internal dialogue of how she wanted Benton to "mount her like a bull in heat - or any other position he cared to try" just cracked me up. There were some funny moments in this book.

Overall, I liked it. It was a fast read and entertaining. Really a cute story with some good sex and Im looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Loving a Fairy Godmother - Danielle Monsch

Very interesting short story from a Fairy Godmothers POV. I really enjoyed this and cannot wait to read the rest of the series. The only thing I didn't like is that it was too short and because of that I was a little lost in the beginning. I didn't realize that Tiernans training took 30 years and that he had feelings for Reina the entire time.

The sex was great and I really liked both characters. I also loved the Cinderella twist.

Submission - Lora Leigh

Umm... Oh Yeesss! Yes! Yes! Yes! Oh this is sooo naughty! The story line is almost exactly like the first one but still super good. I think Surrender and Submission should be training manuals for anal play. I cant wait to read more from this series.

So with that being said... WARNING: Read over the weekend when you have your husband/boyfriend or BOB. You're going to need it!

The Boy Next Door - Jessica Jarman

Well, that was a fast and hot little read. I loved the friends turned lovers troupe and I'm partial to stories like that. I really liked both characters and thought they worked well together.

Darcy's mom pissed me off through the entire book and then Darcy pissed me off by not saying anything to her mom. If it were me.... I'd pull my mom to the side and tell her flat out to stop what she was doing and if she still didn't get the hint then I would tell her in front of everyone.

Mac is a beast in the sheets! "Look at me, Darc. Look at me when I make you mine." Enough said!
